Well, I am 21 years old. And... I... go to college...

After nearly dying in the process to refinish our project, we are at last finished...again. Today is not really necessary in this journal, but we think that telling that we are finished is a good way to close. Now we await what fate brings us on judgement day... which also happens to be the day we present... (still unknown)

Terrible News!!! Marshall's computer has crashed, taking our files with it! It seems that tonight wil be hectic as we try to rewrite what we can't recover. The only thing left in our project that was not damaged was our mask... so now, life is hectic. There is not much time for an update today, as we are working very hard, so we will end with what we learned: Never trust Technology!

Everything is done, so it seems, and it is all saved to Marshall's computer (he has the fastest, and best computer of all of us, so we assume it is safe there, unless Elliot does something stupid). We now anxiously await the moment of truth: Class Presentation. they start Wednesday with Katie Pro's group (she is heading off to Mexico, so they must go first). We are not really nervous, as we believe that everything we have done is accurate and nicely done. 2 days left!

Well, everything is about done! Finally, it looks like we can relax a bit. Maybe we will enjoy this weekend, especially now that we know so much more about Greek Masks. All that is left for most people in our group is polishing the Mini Reports, which should be pretty good... Hopefully, we havent missed anything, but even if we did, Mrs. Renaldi (THE English Master) told us today that we could have until Wednesday to finish. This relieves MUCH pressure, and we are all greatful. We hope to have everything wrapped up this weekend anyway. Until Monday, oh beloved journal, Au Revoir!

Work continutes for the four voyagers on the sea of English homework. Our mask is looking pretty nice! We painted it flesh tones today, much to the dismay of John, who couldn't be there (John-"All of the masks online were WHITE!" Marshall-"So now it is all about race, huh?" Stacey-"I bet you wish ancient Greece was segregated!" V-"Is John too good for anything but white people? Am I not good enough!?" John-"Okay... I don't even know how to respond...weirdos..."). The research paper has begun, with V contributing a lot to the begining, and Stacey working on some of the finer details. "Where is John and Marshall during all of this?" one might ask? Doing all of the grunt work, of course! Between website design (Marshall), Journal updates (John) and more research (both), they are pretty booked.

Well, work started today on some of the reports and information gathering. The mask is having a few drying problems (basically it is taking a long time), but we hope that that will soon be over. While waiting for the mask to dry, Marshall got the idea to dress up like a member of the Taliban. He took the hair we are going to be using for our mask and used it as a beard, then got a robe, a turban and a rifle, and struck a pose for the cameras. Just ask Stacey for the pictures. More good news is that the website: it is looking great! We only hope that it is easy for Mrs. Renaldi to use...

Well, our mask is coming along. Over the weekend, we purchased plaster of paris, and recruited Marshall's sister to be our face model. It was a little messy, but it looks like it should come out fine. After the mask dried sufficiently, John had to cut out the eye and mouth holes with a razor blade. We discovered that much work must have been put into the creation of these masks to get them to look perfect... At least we have a whole week until we finish.
